The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) provide marketing courses and qualifications for marketers. They wanted to create an interactive online quiz that would ask players a series of questions about Digital Marketing.
The online quiz would ask 10 questions and then tell the player their score, and classify them along a scale of ‘novice’ to ‘guru’. The quiz was meant to be fun, and the questions and answers would all be written in a humorous manner.
The quiz needed to include a ‘background image’, a full-bleed image that would occupy the entire screen upon which other elements would sit. There also needed to be a ‘window’ within the design in which the actual quiz content would appear. The results page would be seen once the players completed the quiz and would give each player an ‘award/badge’ depending on their score.
4 templates were designed to demonstrate the different stages of the quiz:
- Question page – a design for the quiz to sit within, featuring navigation elements
- Feedback page – both correct and wrong
- Results page
The campaign would be promoted widely in hopes it would go viral. This meant the design needed to be fun and engaging to encourage people to share it with their friends.
The project was delivered over a period of two weeks.
Predominantly produced in Photoshop with some elements drawn in Illustrator.
These images show all 4 templates that were designed for the project.
