GilliYums, a new start-up company specialising in cupcakes required a logo for their new brand.
The brief wanted to target a more young and funky clientele with a ‘girly’ feel whilst also showing how delicious their cakes are. The owner wanted to be thought of as cool and trendy but also someone who can deliver high quality bespoke cakes and cupcakes.
The owner had recently been asked to cook a lot of children’s cakes but wanted to ensure that they weren’t limited to this. They also wanted to appeal to corporate, new baby, christening, anniversaires and adult birthday cakes.
The concept, development and final design of the logo spanned over one month.
All concept and development of the logo took place in Illustrator with some initial concepts sketched first.
